Traffic jam has become a common fact of our modern urban life. Because of heavy number of vehicles, it generally occurs. But in our country, there are other causes too. The roads are narrow and they are not repaired. There are often garbage, building materials and unnecessary dumped on the roads. There are many unauthorized roadside shops. Because of meetings and processions, roads are blocked. There is a tendency among the drivers to disregard traffic rules. The drivers also have overtaking tendency.
Slow-moving and swift-moving vehicles move together. It also causes traffic jams. Traffic jams are most acute during the time people go to or return from their working place or at the time of public examination. It causes wastage of time. People cannot got to their respective places in time because of traffic jams. Students can not go to their classrooms or exam halls in time because of traffic jams. Patients on way to hospitals suffer acutely and it often causes death. Something must be done to solve this problem. Over-bridges should be built. There are underground train service and improved bus-service. The roads must be suitable for the smooth movement of the vehicles. Some roads should be made on-way. Vehicles may be prohibited or removed to ply during the peak hours of traffic. Above all we can say that traffic rules must be enforced strictly. If proper steps are not taken earlier, urban or city life will become intolerable in near future.

Traffic jam is a common facts in the big cites and towns. This problem is the reason of rapid growth of population and the increasing the number of vehicles. Most often this problem has happened in the congested areas where the roads are very narrow. In proportion to our population road have not increased. There are a lot of unlicensed vehicles which should be brought under control. Most drivers are not willing to obey the traffic rules. Overtaking tendency also causes traffic jam. The number of traffic police is insufficient. Traffic jam generally occurs at office time and also at the time when the offices breaks.
It kills our most valuable time and our works are hampered which causes great sufferings to dying patients who are carried with ambulance. It also causes great sufferings to the fire brigade vehicles. Anyway, this problem can be solved by adopting some measures. Well planned spacious roads should be constructed. One way movement of vehicles should be introduced. Traffic rules should be imposed strictly. So, the drivers are bound to obey them. Sufficient traffic police should be posted on importance points. Unlicensed vehicles should be banned. After doing all these things we can expect to have a good traffic system for our easy and enjoyable movement.

When a lot of vehicles get stuck in a particular place, it is called traffic jam. Traffic jam is almost a regular phenomenon of the big cities and towns. The causes of traffic jam are many. The population is increasing rapidly and the increased numbers of vehicles are needed for the movement and transport of the people. But It is a matter of sorrow that our roads for population have not increased. The roads are all the same.
Narrowness of the roads, unlicensed and uncontrolled vehicles, reluctance to obey the traffic rules by the drivers, overtaking tendencies etc. are some of the main reasons of traffic jam. Besides the number of traffic police is insufficient. Moreover, attend their office duty in time. It hampers our work which causes great sufferings to dying patients who are carried with ambulance. It blocks the movements of fire-bridge vehicles and makes us undone in emergency situation. Traffic rules should be imposed strictly. So, the drivers are bound to obey them. Sufficient traffic police should be posted on importance points. To make them aware of the traffic rules, training programmes for the drivers can be arranged.
